Dutch Valley Growers began as a group of farmers dedicated to the growing and marketing of onion (bulb) sets and shallots in 1933 in the small Dutch community of South Holland, Illinois. What started with a handful of cooperative growers, steadily flourished over the years to give this south suburban area of Chicago the distinction of being the onion capital of the world. Today, it's the third and fourth generation of the farmers who started Dutch Valley, and since then we've added garlic, potatoes, root varieties, fruit vines/bushes and planting and harvesting equipment to our product line. So, just as it was long ago, our motto at Dutch Valley Growers continues today. We're proud to put “Dutch pride in every bag.”
